Hosting a product drive is a GREAT way to get your group, colleagues, or community to share our mission of supplying birthday parties to hospitalized children!
With these product donations, we are able to make birthdays in a box come to life. Here is your step-by-step guide to a successful event.
Choose and Setup a location:
Start a collection at your office, local shop, school, police station, or other popular area by setting up a collection box (cardboard boxes covered in wrapping paper look great with our logo and our wish list pasted on the front) Work with your location to determine the date of the drive, a particular day, the whole month, or a season.
Share our mission and your involvement:
Shout your giving project from the rooftops! Post flyers, share on social media, and tell your friends, family members, coworkers and community about our mission and what YOU are doing to help! Your excitement will be contagious and inspire others to help too.
Party Supplies:
Start by dropping off your own collection of unopened party supplies or books in the box. The box will start to fill up shortly after that! Make sure to check in weekly to see how the supply is doing. Update the community on your progress to keep the excitement going. (Social media is a GREAT place to do this)
Let’s Celebrate:
Once your box is filled or the drive is over, collect all the boxes and be sure to thank the hosts and everyone who helped with your success.
Party Time:
All collected items can be dropped off or mailed to The Confetti Foundation headquarters:
The Confetti Foundation
212 Old Airport Rd
Middletown, RI, 02842
*IF YOU ARE DOING A PARTY SUPPLY DRIVE FOR VOLUNTEER HOURS*
you will receive 10-hours TOTAL for your drive, (there needs to be a minimum of 25 items donated) it is NOT per box dropped off or mailed. If you hold multiple drives (different times/locations) and mail all at once, please provide multiple social media posts, posters posted around campus or teacher/mentor verification that you held more than one drive. There are no exceptions!
*DO NOT drop off supplies to your local hospital, they will NOT accept them on our behalf
