We are often asked, how can my group celebrate a hospitalized child on their birthday?
Being wished a HAPPY BIRTHDAY on your special day brings so much happiness! Please watch the below message from our founder on how YOU can help bring a smile to a hospitalized child. We want you to be a part of the celebration!
How do I participate? Grab your friends, teammates, and co-workers, and have someone video you saying Happy Birthday! *Professional video not required.
How do I share the video? We want you to post them on your social media outlets using the hashtag #confettiwishes and tagging us with @confettifoundation. (Make sure your account is public so we can see!) Then tag 3 organizations to challenge them to make a video too! The more wishes we have the BETTER! You can also email your video to firstname.lastname@example.org
What do you do with these videos once you have them? We are making a video that will share our mission which we will be leading into…”Now we have some friends who want to wish you a Happy Birthday too!”, then it will be a montage of all of the groups of videos we have! We will be adding new messages weekly to this video.
How are the kids going to get these video messages? In our birthday boxes, we will be providing a postcard that has a link to our finished video where they can view it at their leisure (this will be a public website).
What if I am an individual, can I still make a video message? Of course!!! Maybe you could say….”Happy Birthday from…”, then include the city and state you live in!
We would LOVE to have a celebrity wish a Happy Birthday to these birthday kids, can they? Yes! We hope that celebrities and public figures will join us in wishing hospitalized children a Happy Birthday! Make your own Happy Birthday video and tag them as your challenge! We can’t wait to see who you get to join in on the party!
My group has a logo they want to put in the video, can they? Of course! We want our birthday kids to know what organizations are thinking of them! Grab your organization/company banner and have the team hold it. The more festive the better. Get creative!
I want to sing Happy Birthday, can I? We are sure you have a great voice, but that song is sooo long! Just a quick Happy Birthday is all we need, BUT if you are Beyoncé, Adele, Taylor Swift, or Justin Timberlake, we will gladly take your Happy Birthday song video to give to the birthday kids! 🙂
